Expertise : Lynda Rathbone, Managing Director

.A technology veteran, Lynda started working on the Internet in the US government before transitioning to the web and making history by setting up the first-ever email to the White House for then-President Clinton and Vice President Gore, as well as launching the first-ever White House web site (www.whitehouse.gov).

Following her government tenure, Lynda worked at MCI on the first-ever e-commerce site, internetMCI and then moved to New York City to work in the world of internet consulting, spending 2 years at Proxicom as Vice President of Production and 2 years at iXL (now part of Scient) as Account Manager and Director of their largest global account, General Electric, valued at over $100M.

From New York, she moved to London, England, to take a position with News International as Product Director of FiredUp, a dynamic pricing web site, which has become the e-commerce platform for all of News International’s major titles, including The Times, The Sun, The Sunday Times, Page3.com and The News of the World.

After FiredUp, Lynda worked for 3 years at Cable & Wireless where she was Director of the Global Internet Group, overseeing all web-enabled employee, public and customer-facing online environments.

Lynda now runs her own web services consultancy, Four Square Media, focused on helping organisations with content strategy, management, optimisation, classification and categorisation.

She also is monthly columnist for EI Magazine, as well as a frequent speaker at major industry conferences for the Ark Group.

Personally, Lynda's interests lie in music. She is a DJ and can be seen playing in bars and clubs around London.
